of the UK workforce identifies as lesbian,
gay or bisexual. At least 50% will keep
their sexual orientation hidden at work.
Nevertheless, new laws mean that employers
must take steps to prevent discrimination
and harassment of all lesbian, gay and
bisexual workers.
Regulations which make discrimination
on the grounds of sexual orientation
unlawful in relation to the provision
of goods, services, premises, education
and public functions, came into force
on the 30th April 2007.
